Heather Welch (nee Jackson) - Joint Vice President
Heather has worked professionally in the fitness and sporting industry over the last 10 years. Currently she holds the position of Executive Officer for NSW Women's Bowling Association Inc (NSWWBA Inc).
Heather studied at ACPE where she earned a Bachelor of Physical Education. More recently, Heather is completing a Masters in Business & Technology at the Australian School of Business at UNSW. With her acquired knowledge in the Sports industry, Heather is keen to develop available sporting structures, including Governance, PR, Marketing, Business Development and Finance. Heather is passionate about the development of women's and girls sport, recreation and general well being. Her belief is that WRNSW can create opportunities for and drive motivation among women and girls at all levels from elite to grass-root community sport. In short, Heather is keen to work with athletes, administrators, volunteers, coaches, umpires and anyone else who might benefit from the endeavours of WRNSW.

Jill Baptist (MBA, FFin, GAICD) - Joint Vice President
Jill is a director of Baker & Baptist Pty Ltd, a specialist consulting company which provides performance evaluation services to Australian boards of directors and executive management teams. Prior to this, Jill's career spanned more than 20 years in banking and finance in London, Sydney and Melbourne in roles involving the leadership and management of significant business divisions, integrating acquisitions, leading business improvement initiatives and achieving performance turnarounds. She is a passionate about the need to encourage and support girls and women in achieving equal status and opportunity in the fields of both sport and business, and believes that the participation of girls in sport has a major role to play in building the necessary confidence and self belief to achieve this.
Michelle Boon - Treasurer
Michelle is a qualified Chartered Accountant and is currently employed by Swimming NSW in the role of Finance Manager. She has held the position of Treasurer for WRNSW since 2005, and is a lover of all sport, and particularly enjoys watching rugby league, tennis and swimming.

Angelee Boyd - Director
Angelee is the Associate Dean / Course Convenor (Bachelor of Education Degree) at The Australian College of Physical Education. She has worked as a teacher in both the NSW public and private systems, she purchased her own fitness centre in 1992 and moved to to work in the fitness industry in 1994. Angelee managed and owned Fitness Thailand '95 and '96 the only international Asian based fitness convention. On returning to in 1997, Angelee was employed by the and has worked at tertiary level for the past 12 years. Angelee was employed by ACPE in 2002 and she is completing a PhD in the area of children and physical activity. Angelee has presented at eight international fitness convention and the ASSO conference in 2005 and 2006; CISC2006 and be active 2007. She has also represented at regional, state and national level in the sports of netball, basketball and softball.
Dr. Imke Fischer - Director (Immediate Past President)
A Director of WRNSW since its inception, Imke is a Senior Lecturer at the Australian Catholic University teaching and researching in Exercise Science and Health Promotion. Born and breed in Germany, Imke's life revolved around sport since early childhood, inspired by her father's and uncle's involvement in international sport and the many opportunities for girls' participation surrounding her. Imke spent the majority of her professional life advocating for and promoting women in sport, recreation and physical activity.
Deanne Hurley - Director
Deanne has grown up around sport, having spent her childhood years at the AIS where her father, Adrian Hurley, set up the AIS Basketball program. An accomplished businesswoman, Deanne is currently employed by Westpac as the Regional General Manager for retail and business banking and is currently completing a Masters in Business Administration, MBA.
Fatima Kourouche - Director
Fatima has a rich diverse employment background which expands over 30 years and includes community development, administration, event and project management roles with government and non government agencies, in the areas of sport, health, education, community relations and transport. Among the programs initiated and coordinated by Fatime, is the WimSwim women only swimming program, training of the first Muslim surf life savers and introduction of intercultural events. As a WSNSW board member Fatima aims to generate opportunities for women and girls with special cultural, social and economic needs to increase their participation in sport and recreation at all levels.
