Liz Ellis AM "I am proud to be an ambassador for Womensport NSW and the great work they do with young women. I would encourage girls and women to make the most of their sporting opportunities and recreational outlets and make physical activity an integral part of their lifestyle!" Liz Ellis, February 2010 Nicknamed 'Leaping Liz', Liz is one of the all time best circle defenders, who with seemingly little effort, can shut down taller players than herself and come from nowhere to intercept the ball from an unsuspecting attack line. In addition to her esteemed sporting career, Liz is a qualified lawyer and media personality appearing on numerous television and radio shows including The Fat, 110% Tony Squires, Triple J Breakfast Show, Sunrise and commentating during the 2004 Olympic Games. In 2008, Liz was a co-commentator during the inaugural season of the ANZ Championship on Fox Sports, and in 2009 Liz will head up Channel TEN's coverage of the ANZ Championship and the Australian Netball Diamonds Test Matches. Liz is pleased to be in a position to give back to the community, particularly encouraging young people to stay involved in sport and reach their potential.
